| Mexican teens? I am going to Mexico City and will be visiting some smaller towns close by for a few weeks. I am wondering...How are teenagers in Mexico different from teenagers in America. | they are normal teens. if you are talking middle or upper class...they are going to wear the same things you do...minus shorts for girls. the girls wear more makeup and more jewerly...like, bangles and things, not silver or diamonds or gold. a few things i noticed...of course they say hello with that little side kiss thing for girls, and a hand clasp for boys. er....i noticed that mexican teens seem to be more mature in some ways. better manners, more comfortable talking to adults and athority, obviosly they have been going to clubs longer than US teens, so...they have that to do. i think that's why it seems as thought they do more "mature" things than US teens...because they have more "mature" places to go! they may go to a bar and watch a soccer game, go to a dance club on friday or saturday, have a coffee at a cafe in the afternoon, maybe see a movie. just typical teen stuff. many of the teens i knew were able to take little trips to the beach on their own, stay at hotels with groups of their friends...much earlier than i would have as a teen in the US. oh yeah...they like the internet, MSN messenger...but, who doesn't right? |
