Need advice serious badly family problem?
ok so theres a girl that i'm dating and she recently invited to me a birthday party at her grandmom house. She's very family oriented she is extremely close with everyone in her family. How can i make my dog shut up?
My dog barks about 23 hours non stop everyday. And my dog is already 4 years old, a shitzu and cocker spaniel mix, and it barks in this sharp, high pitched, ear piercing scream. To illustrate how loud the bark is, i've tried to keep my dog in this room and shut all the doors or windows at my house, and when i went out, i could hear the dog when i was 3 blocks away. When my family and i eat meals, the dog barks non stop straight through the meal because it wants to eat (human food) as well. When we sleep, the dog starts barking because it wants to sleep on the bed. So i'll carry it up the bed. Then after about 5 seconds, it starts barking because it wants to get down, etc etc. I'm not even exaggerating. It barks straight through the night, and I've already got 6 complaints from my neighbors (not just neighbors beside me, but also neighbors from the opposite blocks, above and below my apartment). I've had police coming to my house for spot check to see if our family is abusing it. (Obviously not, more like it abusing us). My house is an apartment in a block, so there'd be neighbors walking past our house about 10 times everyday, and whether i close the door, close all windows, close the gate, there's nothing that i can stop the dog from barking whenever it HEARS people walking past. This is annoying and irritating, not just for me, but also the neighbors. When my family goes off for work and school, the dog, apparently, barks straight from the morning all the way till we come home, as seen from the 'spy cam' we put in the living room. When we bring it for walks, it barks at anybody, ANYBODY it sees on the roads, and even motorcycles and cars. ANYBODY! This is getting on my nerves. Please tell me what i should do, and why it's acting this way. Don't say sarcastic things, thank you very much. I mean, we dont abuse it at all, in any way, we bring it for walks, we toilet train it, we feed it canidae dog food 3 times each day, we provide fresh water for it 24/7, we restrict it from human food (because it's not healthy?) and bathe it every 4 days, and basically we provide it with anything that most dogs would be provided with. I can't even get proper sleep and it's seriously driving me MAD. I've tried to put muzzle for it, but it can sort of let out this barking sound without even opening its mouth, so it's not helpful at all. I've sent it to an obedience class that cost $3000, and it helped for a while, but after about a few weeks, it's back to the original behaviour. Even the slightest sound from ANYWHERE would trigger a 30 minute bark session. I've tried to train it using verbal reprimanding, but it only makes things worse! I've tried to use a newspaper roll to hit the wall, in order to train it to obey me, but obviously it was a terrible method because it not only made the barking worse, it started to leap up and even bit my fingers.

Since nothing else has worked you could resort to a barking collar. It vibrates when the dog barks and it scares them. I used one on my dog one time, and now whenever I put the collar on, she won't bark at all. I only use it if I am leaving for a few hours because she only barks if I am gone. Just make sure you use it correctly.
